THE MWEZI FOUNDATION is looking for someone to manufacture stands for our solar lights. The stands are a simple design made from 4mm rustproof fencing wire bent into a specific shape and size to fit the light casings. Design specification drawings are available. We need an initial supply of 2,000 stands with continuing orders further down the line.Due to a recent substantial grant from the British & Foreign School Society, funded by the Richard Pain Trust, THE MWEZI FOUNDATION is pressing on with our ambitious plan to get solar lights into 150 schools in south east Kenya by the end of 2022 ( we are currently in 87). We have run out of our initial stock of 4000 lights and have completely redesigned the case for the lights. The case is being manufactured by Tex Plastics at cost, which we are very grateful for. The cases will be shipped to Mombasa, where they will be assembled by John. However, we need a new wire handle so the lights can stand on desks, or be hung.

b) Innovation Pilot Projects

Is your innovation ready to be prototyped and tested in a real environment? We’re looking to see a pilot of your solution and some concrete user feedback. Since building and testing prototypes can get expensive, we expect project budgets of USD 25k to USD 250k.
